Sitting just a short distance between the Colonial home and the barn, sits the original corn crib, believed to have been built around the time of the homestead. Long past its initial intended use for storing field corn for the cattle, it now serves as the building for "Charlie's Farm Store".
Named in memory of the owner's father, Charlie's Farm Store offers a variety of goods. Fresh-from-the-farm butter, eggs, sheep fleece, dried lavender and baked goods, we also carry honey, dairy products and produce from other local producers.
Rustic and farm-themed tapestry throws, pillows, table runners, place mats, kitchen linens and wall hangings woven in the NC mountains by Manual Woodworkers and Weavers. We offer a small sampling at the store, but you can see a wider selection by clicking on the "Online Store" tab at the top.
We also have talented local crafters who supply us with a variety of items: birdhouses, feeders, furniture and yard art. Selection varies depending on local suppliers.
